Quickstart
This walkthrough gets one customer looking at one report.
Before you start
Section titled “Before you start”You need:
- a My Report Portal account at app.myreportportal.com
- a Sigma Computing workbook you want to share
- the email address of one customer contact to test with
1. Create a portal
Section titled “1. Create a portal”In the app, go to Portals → New portal. Give it a name and a URL slug — the slug
becomes your customer’s address, for example acme.myreportportal.com.
2. Connect Sigma
Section titled “2. Connect Sigma”Add your Sigma embed credentials under Settings → Sigma. My Report Portal uses them to sign embed URLs on your customers’ behalf.
3. Add a report
Section titled “3. Add a report”Open the portal and choose Add report. Paste the Sigma workbook URL and give the report the name your customer should see.
4. Invite a viewer
Section titled “4. Invite a viewer”Under Viewers, invite your test contact by email. They receive an invitation link, set a password, and land in the portal.
5. Check it yourself
Section titled “5. Check it yourself”Open the portal URL in a private window and sign in as the test viewer. You should see exactly one report, scoped to that viewer’s data.
