Customize Domain

Note

Serving your portal from a custom domain (e.g., reports.yourcompany.com) reinforces brand trust and ensures that all viewer portal access and outgoing system emails come directly from your web address.

Open Custom Domain Settings

Click Custom domain from the home dashboard setup checklist, or go to the left sidebar under Settings and click Domain Name.

Enter Your Desired Domain

• Click Configure Custom Domain.
• Type in your desired subdomain or root domain (e.g., myreports.sigmaportals.com) and click Save Domain.

Publish Your DNS Records

• Review the generated list of DNS records (CNAME, TXT) provided on the page.
• Copy these values and add them into your domain registrar or DNS management platform (or hand them off to your IT/Infrastructure team).

Verify and Activate

• Click Verify again to check the status of your records.
• Statuses will update from Pending or Almost Ready to Live as DNS propagation completes across the internet.

Tip

DNS propagation usually takes anywhere from 30 seconds up to 5 minutes (and up to 24 hours in rare cases). Once all records are Live, your SSL certificate issues automatically and your portal will be fully active at your custom URL!
